X-Ray & Imaging Delivers Ultra-Low Dose CT Technology to Beerwah

With ultra-low dose CT technology available at our Caloundra, Maroochydore, Kawana, Cooroy and Coolum branches, it was only a matter of time before we made it available to the Beerwah community.

We are delighted to announce that our new Siemens SOMATOM go.Up CT platform was successfully installed in our Beerwah practice on Tuesday 22nd March, and we are now taking appointments.

The standard CT scan has a relatively high radiation dose, which is needed to investigate and manage certain medical disorders. Understandably, patients who regularly undergo this procedure worry about high, and sometimes constant, radiation exposure.

Our low-dose CT technology delivers a significantly lower dose of radiation, easing these worries for our patients. Modern scanners, such as ones used in our X-Ray & Imaging clinics, offer ultra-low radiation dose scans without compromising the image quality, allowing certain examinations to be performed at the same radiation level as an x-ray. It is a painless procedure that only takes minutes to complete.

At X-Ray & Imaging, we bulk bill all Medicare eligible CT examinations for Medicare card holders.

Yes, a referral from your GP or specialist is required before calling to schedule an appointment.
